The new KEF Q50a is a Dolby Atmos-Enabled Surround Speaker that has bene expertly engineered by acoustic technicians to create a cinematically vertical, cinema-style Dolby Atmos sound experience in the comfort of your own home. The Q50a uses precision ceiling reflection when mounted on top of the KEF Q Series speakers, adding a whole new dimension to an already stellar sound performance.

The KEF Q50a Dolby Atmos-Enabled Surround Speaker is easily positioned into your existing 5.1 surround system when used in conjunction with an AV receiver. All you need to do is add the KEF Q50a to the top of your existing front speakers, or mount them to the wall just above them if the former is not possible. The height of the soundstage will expand exceptionally once these surround speakers are added, offering more realistic sound effects from your movies and TV shows. These speakers not only improve the sound of your existing, they add more authenticity to your viewing experience, with sound seeming to follow a person or object across the scene, placing you right there in the middle of the action.

The sole intention of Dolby Atmos is to make it feel as though you are truly in the middle of all the action.
